Thanks to its double vocation of teaching and transfer of technology and since its foundation, the High School of Sciences and Technology of Hammam Sousse (HSST) has been considered as an important part in the University of Sousse.

Its pedagogical mission is to present for the new high school graduates a wide programme of trainings within the framework of the LMD system (Licence Master Doctorat).

The programmes of studies in initial training , scheduled for the academic year 2008/2009, concern :

• 2 applied degrees in Electro technique, Electronics and automatics and in Applied Physics in materials
• 2 fundamental degrees in Applied Mathematics and in Physics

Being a privileged actor for the regional and national economic development, the HSST of Hammam Sousse is actually developing through a narrow collaboration with its industrial partners and training programmes specific to applied degrees “co-construites” in order to answer the industrialists expectation in terms of professional qualification of the future graduates.

All these trainings are assured by a group of teachers researchers, along with industrial experts known for their fundamental and applied research activities.

The future coming creation of a department for the transfer of technology will contribute to the development of a synergy between academic partners as well as industrial ones, with an aim to make the research results worthy.

500 students – holding a baccalaureate degree in Mathematics, experimental sciences and technology – will continue their studies throughout the academic year 2008 / 2009 . This number is expected to grow during the coming years through the future offers of training in Master and PhD.

All our teachers are proud to offer for our students, through the best pedagogical approaches, a training of high quality that will serve them in their professional activities ; they are proud, too, to contribute to a big human adventure , a scientific and technological one for the dissemination and share of information respecting the individual and the school’s values.
