The High School of Sciences and Technology of Hammam Sousse ( HSSTHS ) was founded under the decree N° 2006 – 1587 of 6 June 2006 , in order to enrich the university scope of Sousse which goes hand in hand with the mission of Sousse’s techno pole that is specialized in the fields of microelectronics, mechanics and computer studies .

The school’s aim is, then, to enable and assist the emergence of a new generation of competences in sciences and technologies especially in the following specialities namely computer studies, applied mathematics, electronics’ equipments and devices.

Being situated in the region of Sousse, - which makes up a well-developed industrial and economic setting – the HSSTHS relies on an active partnership with the industrialists in order to define its training and research programme. In fact, the training courses and the practical education as well as the research topics developed in this school are defined to satisfy the needs of the region’s industrialists; now and after.

Thanks to its narrow collaboration with UTICA (Union Tunisien de l’Industrie de Commerce et de l’Artisanat) of Sousse, the school is currently establishing a partnership sustained by companies that are renowned nationally and internationally. The school itself is being, also, ready to involve its future graduates in the field of work and even to get them into the creation of companies and this is mainly in the field of new technologies.
